Community Midrasha

Community Midrasha engages teens in learning about Jewish culture, history, and religion and inspires participants to make a lifelong commitment to Jewish learning, practice and community. Midrasha is dedicated to being the place where Durham and Chapel Hill teens can inspire, create, innovate, engage, inquire, and connect. We are a pluralistic Jewish learning community for all teens (grades 8-12), regardless of synagogue affiliation or prior religious education. Mirroring the diversity in our student body, our teachers are from all streams of Jewish life and practice.

At Community Midrasha, Jewish teenagers will engage in formal and experiential learning to acquire a body of Jewish knowledge and inspire them to take an active role in Jewish life.

Beth El is proud to be a supporter of Community Midrasha.

For more information, visit the Community Midrasha website or contact the Program Manager for Teen Engagement and Community Midrasha, at pdeena@jewishforgood.org.
