High Holidays The High Holidays are a time when nobody should be alone. We are very proud that Beth El does not charge for admission to services. All can join and be part of our spiritual community.

Torah Fund

We summon strength and fortitude during these changing times, and we continue to make an impact on the Conservative movement. This year’s pin is “Chazak v”Ematz”. This pin symbolizes the story of the Israelites preparing to enter the Promised Land when the leadership transitions from Moses to Joshua. The Israelites and Joshua are instructed to “be strong and courageous. (Deuteronomy 31-6,7.23, Joshua 1-6,7.9.18). The 5783 Torah Fund pin presentes 80 years of ever-increasing strength of the Torah Fund. Thus- the 80 on the pins.

I am once again asking the congregation to support this worthy cause and help maintain the vibrancy of the seminaries throughout the world. Please consider making a donation of $180 made out to the Torah Fund and send me the check-

If you are paying by credit card, you have to contact the Torah Fund office in New York and let me know. This year we will once again send five Torah Fund cards along with your pin. Thank you.

May you be inscribed in the New Year with health and happiness.
Lois
