Wine and Jam With Durham’s Young Jewish Professional Community

September 6, 2016 by bethel Leave a Comment

Interested in getting to know the young Jewish professional/student community in Durham & Chapel Hill? Please join us for Congregation Beth El’s Young Jewish Professional intro event. Come celebrate with cocktails and jazz—ALL are welcome!

When: Sunday, Sept. 11 at 5:00pm

Where: The West End Wine Bar at 601 W Main street, Durham.

What: Drinking and jiving to live jazz music with leadership from Congregation Beth El, including Rabbi Daniel Graber, folks from the Duke graduate school community, and more. Come have a drink, get to know new people, chat with current members, and feel out a welcoming, open Jewish community in the heart of Durham.

Why: To get to know other young Jewish people in the area, learn about open and inclusive options for the High Holy Days (and other important events on the Jewish calendar), hear more about putting social justice values to work through local volunteerism, and to become part of a vibrant, fun community.

Who: Beth El Synagogue (located on 1004 Watts St., Durham) is a pluralistic and diverse Jewish congregation welcoming all who wish to enjoy an enriching experience through spiritual growth, observance, and mitzvoth, and who seek to create a Kehilla, a Jewish village, molding responsible citizens of our local communities and the larger world.

RSVP: For more information, contact Yochai Ben Haim at (919)-599-9152 or at Yochai.ben.haim@duke.edu

Bring friends, and forward this email to anyone you think might be interested. Also, there will be an event on Facebook so check that out too.

Hope to see you all on Sunday,
