National Night Out!
Trinity Park,
Tuesday, August 2
6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
The Trinity Park Neighborhood Association (TPNA) is sponsoring A National Night Out neighborhood event, and is reaching out to neighborhood houses of worship to participate. They have invited us to have a host a table and bring and serve iced tea and/or lemonade during the event. TPNA will provide some desserts and refreshments, but they are also asking their neighbors to bring a dessert to share. The grills will be going for kids to make S’mores, and there will be cake! Plates and napkins, soft drinks, water, and other treats will also be provided. Since they are encouraging neighbors to bring a dessert to share, we could also offer some “traditional” Jewish desserts at our table, along with information about our synagogue and Beth El community.
National Night Out is a nationwide annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. And it’s a great way to meet and see our neighbors, local law enforcement, and city leaders!
They are also looking for volunteers to help set up, run, and take down the event. Only a small investment in time is needed. They will need help with the S’mores and Cotton Candy tables, and dessert and beverage tables. Help tearing down will also be needed.
So plan to come on out and meet our neighbors and have some fun! If you would like to volunteer to help with the event (especially if you live in Trinity Park!), contact Rachel Galanter.
