Yiddish Songfest

Beth El’s 6th Annual Yiddish Songfest to Benefit Urban Ministries of Durham.

Local singers and musicians will present treasures from the rich Yiddish repertoire, including lively folk tunes, haunting lullabies, love ballads, and much more. This year’s theme food and drink.  Add tasty refreshments, and there is something for everyone to enjoy. All proceeds go to Urban Ministries of Durham.

Join us on Sunday, October 18 at 3:00 pm for this year’s Yiddish songfest at:
Beth El Synagogue
1004 Watts St.
Durham NC 27701.
Tickets for the concert (which starts at 3:00 p.m. sharp) are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Transportation is available.
To buy tickets, request a ride, or learn more about WHAT’S NOT TO LIKE?, call 919-682-7468 or email yiddishsongfest@aol.com.

URBAN MINISTRIES OF DURHAM (UMD), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in downtown Durham, provides emergency food, clothing, shelter, and counseling to our neighbors in need. Funded largely by private donations, United Ministries typically spends at least 90 cents of each dollar received on its programmed services. Since 2010, Beth El’s annual Yiddish songfest has raised over $20,000 for UMD. This year, proceeds from What’s Not to Like? will again go directly to assist poor, hungry, and homeless members of our community.
