Seder Matching – Join a Seder or Host One!
Passover is meant to be celebrated together, and we want to ensure that everyone in our community has a place to experience a meaningful Seder. Chametz Sale
The original intention of this tradition was to completely rid one’s house of all traces of hameitz. As time went on and households grew in size, this became more difficult, more costly, and more wasteful. In turn, this led to the creation of a legal mechanism known as m’khirat hameitz (also spelled mechirat ḥametz), the selling of leavened foods. Learn more about the tradition of selling chametz here!
Dinner and Movie Night: Chametz Fest!
Join us for an evening of last-minute chametz on Sunday, April 6 at 5:00 pm! Clear out your pantries and indulge in a chametz-filled evening with your Beth El friends. Enjoy delicious salmon prepared by Chef Dori, and bring your favorite chametz-filled sides and treats to share potluck-style! We will also enjoy a screening of Fiddler on the Roof to get into the Passover spirit.
