Talk: "Disturbing Biblical Texts"
What do we do when we come up against biblical texts that are very disturbing to us on moral, ethical, and spiritual levels? How do we address these texts and how do we maintain our connection with the Bible even in light of these very difficult texts. We will look together at selected patriarchal narratives, at questions we may have about some of God's actions in the Bible, and we will struggle together to find meaning even in the most unlikely places.
