Led by Zimrah Keinan, this project supports families of children undergoing pediatric cancer treatment in the Triangle Area. Participants ages 6-14 will take part in a child triathlon to raise funds for this important cause. Open to all, this event offers a meaningful way to make a difference while promoting fitness and community engagement.

Led by Morim, this project spreads joy to people in nursing homes, hospitals, Meals on Wheels, and troops overseas through colorful artwork. Participants of all ages can color cheerful pre-printed sheets, with all supplies provided. Drop in any time between 10:30 am-12:30pm to join us in brightening someone’s day, one picture at a time!

The Duke Park Cleanup aims to create a cleaner, more enjoyable space while supporting children in Durham facing clothing insecurity. Open to all ages and group sizes, this community effort will provide trash bags and gloves for participants. Join us in making a difference for both our park and local families in need!
Families Moving Forward: fmfnc.org
This project supports families with children experiencing housing insecurity, by assembling 'move-in kits' for those transitioning into shelters. Volunteers will pack essential cleaning supplies into hampers and include handmade cards for a personal touch. Donations of items for the kits are also needed! Sign up to bring in necessary items here. Open to all ages (Pre-K and up with a parent). Join us in helping families settle into their new homes with dignity and care!

Facilitated by Sarah and Jordan Komisarow, this project supports families in need by repackaging diapers into 10-pack bundles for distribution. Open to all ages, volunteers will organize and wrap donated diapers using provided supplies. Join us in making a difference for local families!

This clothing drive supports children in Durham facing clothing insecurity and their families. Starting immediately following Passover, and on Mitzvah Day itself, community members may bring in donations of clean, gently-used clothing, sneakers and athletic shoes, and coats/jackets. Volunteers on May 4 will collect, organize and pre-sort donations. Open to participants 2nd grade and up with a parent/adult.

Saving Grace Animal Rescue has asked for a supply of homemade treats for their doggie friends, and we are happy to provide! Children are welcome to participate in this project with an adult.
