Our annual Interfaith Clergy Conference returns in on March 27, 2025. This year, we are featuring Dr. Ora Horn Prouser, the CEO and Academic Dean at the Academny for Jewish Religion for a presentation and discussion titled:

"Esau's Blessing: Approaching the Bible In Light of Disability Studies"

Each time we view the Hebrew Bible through a new lens, we add to our understanding of the text, we learn more about ourselves, and we widen the impact of the Hebrew Bible on the larger community. Studying the Hebrew Bible through Disability Studies enables us to access new dimensions of biblical characters and the texts in which we encounter them. We will also consider the character of God in the Bible and how God too can be more deeply appreciated through the perspective of Disability Studies.
